2026 APPLICATION FORM
Texas students deserve a high-quality, inclusive education that prepares them for the future. You can help make that happen!
The Texas Education Advocacy Series (TEAS) is an advocacy action program designed to empower Texans across the state to fight, at the local and state levels, for our students’ rights to be, learn, and thrive in schools. Join us for 8 virtual training sessions from July through October and learn how you can take action against book bans, discriminatory dress codes, curricular censorship, state-sponsored religion, and other important issues affecting students in your community and in our state. You’ll get organizing skills and tools you can use right away—public testimony prep, digital action planning, research tips, media training, and more. TEAS graduates will be integrated into a community of advocates across the state, all of whom are committed to securing an honest, inclusive, and high-quality public education for every Texan.
WHO IS THIS SERIES FOR? EVERYONE!
- Newly interested advocates who are ready to take the first step and learn the ropes of education advocacy
- Leaders-in-the-making looking to host events, speak out, and shape strategy in their communities
We encourage all interested Texans, especially parents and highly engaged students, to apply! Whether you consider yourself a novice or an expert, whether you’re interested in advocating at your local school board or participating in the legislative process—whoever you are, there’s a space for you in our cohort!
Virtual training sessions will be held biweekly on Thursdays at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm CST, starting July 9th through October 15th.
Applications are open from May 18, 2026, to June 15, 2026, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
